I've been a contributor to Wikipedia for nearly 5 years, for which I've written several dozen articles on subjects ranging from micronations and radio stations to freak waves and ancient pyramids, and made substantive contributions to many dozens more.
I have a reputation there for expressing strong opinions, and for not tolerating idiots, content vandals or raving lunatics - all of which WP seems to attract in abundance. Sometimes this has resulted in my being made the target of threats, abuse and personal attacks.
Of course, none of them ever succeed, because none of them have any basis in reality - but they are nonetheless both trying and distracting.
On the plus side, most of them are also quite hilarious.
Unfortunately having been coerced by one of the project's more sanctimonious janitors into removing a previously published list, I can no longer make some of the better examples available for the amusement of the world at large via this page - but if you see me online drop me a message and I'll happily regale you with the general gist of them.
Regards,
George Cruickshank
